 JUNE - The loveliest month of the year! + JULY - Happy 250 USA + the first Dog Days of AUGUST

The summer months have simply gotten away from me. Another hospital stay for the hubby and then antibiotic infusions at home twice a day.  Whew! But reading was, as always, a nice escape. I just don't want this to be too long! It's already long enough... 

 Picture Books to look for - dad by Christian Robinson; 102 by Matthew Cordell, and Corey R. Tabor's Bear for A Day. Also - jellyfish are having a moment!

If you saw the Odyssey, Erin Bow's Witchward Bound is a elementary aged readers retelling of sorts. There are certainly Odyssey elements in the story! It will be published 9/12/2026.

Like a Rainbow by Amy Guglielmo is a really cool picture book biography of Cyndi Lauper! 

Graphic novels - the 4th volume of Lightfall by Tim Probert (A Place Between) was excellent. I love the story of Bea and Cad as they continue their quest to save their planet and discover the continued need for more information to understand why their planet has lost its light.  

And since it is the Dog Days of August - you should read The Unlikely Tale of Chase & Finnegan by Jasmine Warga along with Wombat Waiting by Katherine Applegate.
