 MAY

It's been a bit of a tumultuous month - in children's lit and here at home. We spent a week in ICU. Which, unsurprisingly, is not conducive to a lot of reading. My significant other was the patient; I was just the camper in the room. On the road to recovery now, I am trying to catch up on my TBR.

But this is what I read in May, Navigating Night is a beautiful book that relates a beautiful story. It's a strong contender for the Caldecott.  I also loved The Sweater by Larissa Theule. The Marigold Cottages Murder Collective was also enjoyable! Told through multiple POVs. And if you like it, there's a sequel being published soon.

Navigating Night by Julie Leung Loops by Jashar Awan Because of a Shoe by Julie Fogliano  Kitty Caterpillar by Annabeth Bondor-Stone  The Trouble with Giraffes by Lisa Mantchev Love Finds a Way by Vern Kousky The Sweater by Larissa Theule All I Want to Do Is Swim by Marilyn Singer

Earl & Worm #2 by Greg Pizzoli Jars of Hope by Jennifer Roy

Lily Tripp by Amelia Tait The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

The Marigold Cottages Murder Collective by Jo Nichols The Murder at World's End by Ross Montgomery I Hope This Email Finds You in Hell by Mackenzie Reed
