BOOKS I CAN'T WAIT TO READ -

Recently published or coming in the next six months.

A new Dog Man book is here! 20,000 Fleas Under the Sea. All kinds of fun activities accompany the publishing - you can read about it here.

The Skull by Jon Klassen coming in July 2023. Also, Skunk & Badger #3 in September. Also in September, How Does Santa Go Down the Chimney? by Mac Barnett; illustrated by Jon Klassen

Kate DiCmaillo is publishing TWO new books this fall! One is a new Mercy Watson book - Mercy Watson is Missing will be part of the Deckawoo Drive series.  Another is The Puppets of Spelhorst which sounds amazing and is coming in October.

The Scariest Kitten in the World by Kate Messner publishes August 29, 2023. It is supposed to be like The Monster at the End of This Book. Below are some more picture books that I am looking forward to reading!

A new Patricia Wrede book? Yes, please. The Dark Lord's Daughter in September. And I love Hiaasen. The Dave Eggers book looks super intriguing - it's a fantasy set in a Boston park with LOTS of animals. Speaking of animals - Katherine Applegate continues the Ivan story with The One and Only Ruby in May.

Dogtown by Katherine Applegate and Gennifer Choldenko. In September. It has dogs. And Robot Dogs.

A Stamped from the Beginning graphic novel? Excitement! Coming in June.

Global - a Graphic novel by Eoin Colfer - two courageous children face the effects of climate change - Yuki in Northern Canada; Sami on the Indian Ocean.

I love Laini Taylor and was super excited to see her announce Billie Blaster and the Robot Army from Outer Space.  Doesn't this look amazing? And a graphic novel! August 2023.

A second The First Cat in Space by Mac Barnett. The First Cat in Space and the Soup of Doom! In October.

Another Stuntboy! Stuntboy In-Between Time by Jason Reynolds.  Huzzah. In August 29, 2023. Also by Jason Reynolds - a picture book! There Was a Party for Langston - coming October, 2023.

  More Graphic Novels!

I was hoping there would be a third Emmy Lake book! This is adult historical fiction set in England during WW2. Coming in August.

I will read anything by Elizabeth Wein. This one is being published this month, March, 2023. But I am still waiting for my copy. It's a murder mystery set in Europe in 1937.

T. Kingfisher is actually a pen name for Ursula Vernon - but I love her books. And anything by Ruta Sepetys.
